Hey friends,
In this our world where we have an abundance of content, we often fall into the trap of just consuming content to gain more knowledge without taking action on the knowledge we have gained.
When we consume information, we isolate ourselves by reading books and watching videos. This gives us the illusion of progress, and it makes us feel good about ourselves.
The problem is getting information about how to improve ourselves without taking actions does not benefit us in any way. In most cases, we already have enough information, but because we feel productive while learning, we continue to spend time on searching for more knowledge instead of taking any action.
Knowledge is not enough to give an edge. The only thing that will help us be better persons and improve our lives is to take actions on the things we have learnt. The books and videos are just there to inspire us into action. What will actually cause the change is taking action.
The take-away here is to take more action than we consume content. You already have the knowledge to improve yourself, what you are lacking is action.
Have a great week!

My Favourite Things This Week
1 - YouTube - Sometimes, I feel like I'm falling behind in life. Like I'm not doing enough, or I'm not where I should be. This video by Nathaniel Drew helped to clear this thought from my mind. We often compare ourselves with others, hence, the feeling of falling behind. If we can stop comparing ourselves with others and focus on the here and now, we will be better of. If you can relate to this feeling, watch the video here.
2 - Skillshare - At the beginning of this week, I took this Productivity Masterclass course by Ali Abdaal on Skillshare. He shared the principles, myths, and laws of productivity. The main theme is to do useful things in service to our future self and catching fun along the way too.
Quote of the Week
What is the real goal? The real goal is not to “beat the market.” The goal is to build wealth. The real goal is not to read more books. The goal is to understand what you read. Don’t let a proxy become the target. Don’t optimize for the wrong outcome.
